Glerage sources its grape marc exclusively from selected winemakers based in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG area. Grape marc is used to extract polyphenols, the treasured nutrients at the base of our products. This means that Glerage raw materials are sourced during standard wine making processes, encouraging a more responsible and sustainable use of resources.

When grape marc arrives at our laboratory, the production of our polyphenols-rich extract begins. First, wet skins and seeds undergo a drying phase under strictly controlled conditions, to avoid reaching critical temperatures that might damage polyphenolic molecules. When most of the water has evaporated, the seeds and skins are ground into a powder, which increases the surface area and the extraction efficiency. A cutting-edge extraction process allows us to obtain a watery solution rich in polyphenols. To guarantee its quality, the extract is controlled with modern techniques such as colorimetric analysis and liquid chromatography. Only the extracts with a high content of polyphenols that pass our laboratory tests are used in the watery phase that will be later used to make our cosmetic products.
